A protester brought some unexpected fun to the table on Wednesday at a press conference held by the European Central Bank. A woman jumped onto the table where bank head Mario Draghi was speaking and yelled, “End the E.C.B. dictatorship!” The protester then tossed handfuls of glitter on him. To add a pun to the statement, her shirt read “E.C.B. Dick-tatorship.” Moments later, the protester was removed by security guards and the press conference resumed. Feminist activist group Femen has claimed responsibility for the act on Twitter. This is the second protest against the ECB this month. In March, riots erupted when thousands gathered at the bank’s headquarters.
