Facebook now being used to serve divorce papers

Need to serve divorce papers? Try using Facebook. Although the social networking site has helped a lot of people catch cheating spouses, now Ellanora Baidoo, a Brooklyn nurse, is legally allowed to use it to serve her hard-to-find husband with divorce papers, a judge has ruled. Twenty-six-year-old Baidoo married Victor Sena Blood-Dzraku in a civil ceremony, but they never had the traditional wedding ceremony that she wanted. They never lived together, and her husband, who is resisting divorce, only contacts her by phone or Facebook, refusing to meet in person. Baidoo and her lawyer even hired a private detective, but to no avail. Last week, Baidoo’s attorney sent Blood-Dzraku a Facebook message, but so far no word yet. Maybe changing Baidoo’s relationship status to “single” will prompt a response.
