Oprah to honor Maya Angelou at stamp dedication

Get your stationery ready! Almost a year after she passed away, Maya Angelou will be honored with a Forever Stamp from the U.S. Postal Service. The dedication ceremony will take place at on April 7 at the Warner Theatre in Washington, DC. Winfrey, who was close with Angelou, is expected to join Postmaster General Megan Brennan at the event, along with Al Sharpton and Nikki Giovanni. The stamp features an oil portrait of the legendary poet, author, and activist, along with this famous quote: “A bird doesn’t sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song.”
