Indian women come together to deliver a powerful message of empowerment and choice

#VogueEmpower’s “My Choice” is all about social change

As part of Vogue India’s social awareness campaign–#VogueEmpower–Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone and director Homi Adajania created the short film “My Choice,” recognizing women’s choices as legitimate and individualistic.

The video contains 99 women from varied walks of life–all changemakers and firebrands from India who have made marks in their respective careers. “I liked the idea of telling people I originally had 100 women planned but God said the last one was too busy right now,” says Adajania to Vogue India.

Women’s empowerment and gender equality are hotly debated themes in India and the #VogueEmpower initiative encourages and highlights the women in the conversation.
