Google to pay new CFO a cool $70M over 4 years

The Internet search giant made headlines this week when it poached Ruth Porat, “the most powerful woman on Wall Street,” from Morgan Stanley. And now the details of Porat’s giant compensation package are emerging. Her base salary will be $650,000 annually and she’s being given a $7,500 relocation stipend. But the real scratch is coming from the bonuses: She’s being given a $5 million signing bonus; a $25 million dollar new hire grant; and a whopping $40 million biennial grant that begins next year. Phew, we just got tired trying to add that all up. Her previous salary at Morgan Stanley was made up of much smaller numbers and totaled $12 million in 2013, the last year salary info for her is available.
