Swimmers at women’s NCAA event make history

Three African-American swimmers made history at the Women’s Division 1 NCAA Championship this week. The young swimmers snagged the top three spots in the 100-yard freestyle event. The feat was recognized by a celebratory tweet from the national governing body of swimming in the United States that lauded the trio with a hashtag #sportforall. The top two spots went to swimmers from Stanford while the third place finish went to a swimmer from the University of Florida. All three women were committed to winning, no matter the exhaustion and body ache.
