Elizabeth Sullivan turned 104 this week and she marked the occasion by sharing her belief that — in spite of doctors orders — drinking three Dr. Peppers a day is a driving force behind her remarkably long life. “Every doctor that sees me says they’ll kill you, but they die and I don’t,” the former teacher explained to a local TV station. “So there must be a mistake there.” Instead of drinking coffee in the morning, Sullivan says she prefers to begin her day with an ice cold Dr. Pepper. For her birthday present, it appears family members eschewed the obvious gift and bought her a Dr. Pepper-themed cake. Not to worry though, the folks at Dr. Pepper stepped up and sent her a couple cases of the soda, which she will polish off by sometime next week.
