Barbara Bush: ‘I changed my mind’

Back in 2013, the former first lady said ‘we’ve had enough Bushes‘ in the White House in response to a question about the possibility of Jeb running for president. On Wednesday, like a true seasoned political veteran, the outspoken Bush matriarch changed her stance on the issue, officially endorsing her son. In a mass email to reporters that was titled “I changed my mind,” Bush acknowledged her previous position, but added, “our problems are so profound that America needs a leader who can renew the promise of this great nation.” She also said she’s starting a “Run Jeb Run Fund” and began soliciting donations of $50 or more. Safe to say Jeb can bank on at least one vote now.
