Bad news for everyone who plans on uploading naked selfies to Facebook: the social network has updated its Community Standards page, explaining in detail what types of nudity are acceptable for sharing. “We remove photographs of people displaying genitals or focusing in on fully exposed buttocks,” the site explains. “We also restrict some images of female breasts if they include the nipple.” The page also elaborates on Facebook’s regulation of hate speech, bullying, and harassment, but let’s be honest: the main concern here is whether or not we can get away with flaunting sneaky bit of nipple. Post-surgery breast photos are OK, as are images of breastfeeding (long live the #breflie) and photos of artwork that depict nude figures. Your Mardi Gras pics? Not so much. But the exhibitionists among us need not despair. For you, there will always be Snapchat.
